The percentage increase is not that difficult.

1. compute the difference: new value - old value

2. divide the difference by the old value

3. convert to a percent

(17 - 3)/3 = 14/3 = 4.6666... = 466.66...%

See, not too difficult. Please do not go insane! There is so much to look forward to, in life and Mathematics.

A simple ratio will do:

.. 3 : 17 as 100 % : x %

.. 3 梅17 as 100 梅 x

.. 3/17 = 100/x

.. x = 1700/3

.. x ~ 567 %

I think it's (17-3)*100/3=466.667%.

ie, 3+466.667%(3)=17

I think so. Is it the answer you needed..?
466.66 approximatly
(17 - 3)/3 * 100% = 466 2/3 %
(17 - 3)/3 x 100%

= 466.7%
[(17-3)/3] * 100 = 466.667%
17-3=14

14/3 * 100% =466.66 %
