How to calculate percentage weight loss for different individuals?

Subtract their current weight from their starting weight. For example, if you started at 200 pounds and now weigh 180, you lost 20 pounds. Next, divide the starting weight by the amount lost. 20/200 = 0.1 To change this into a percent, multiply by 100 (move the decimal to the right 2 place values). Our example person lost 10% of her body weight.
