How do I calculate my SAT score into a percentage?

if i scored 1400 on the SATs, what does that convert to percentage wise?? for example, does it calculate to an 80% or what? or....can i not calculate it into a percent?? HELP!How do I calculate my SAT score into a percentage?
the original answer below is wrong because the scale is 600-2400.

You would take your answer minus 600, and then divide by 1800 (the total amount of points one can earn - in reality).

1400-600=800

800/1800=.4444444

44.44%

Really this percentage has no bearing. Check college boards website and under your SAT scores section it should tell you a percentage of students who did better and worse than you did.How do I calculate my SAT score into a percentage?
Let's say the score is out of 2400. And that your score is 2300. You would do:

(2300/2400) = (x/100)

You would solve this with cross multiplication. Your score in percentage would be 95.83%.How do I calculate my SAT score into a percentage?
well it's a total of 2400

so divide that by 2400

and you get 58.3 percent

which is okay but you can do better by retaking the test :)

good luck!
