How do you calculate the percentage of something?

If you got 36 answers to your question and 11 were correct, you would divide 11 by 36 (0.3056) and take the result times 100 to figure the percentage of correct answers. (30.56%)How do you calculate the percentage of something?
take the amount of something in something, lower the second # to 100, and the 1st # divide into the other #.and the # out of 100 is the percentage.
just multiply the amount by 0.00; in other words if it is 20% multiply by 0.20; if it is 15%, then multiply by 0.15 etc. etc.How do you calculate the percentage of something?
Move the decimal point to the left two places. Then multiply the original number by that new number.

Example:

10% of 20

10.0%=0.1

0.1x20=

2
Percent is basically the same as a fraction converted to decimal form, then multiplied by 100 to convert. How do you calculate the percentage of something?
Move the decimal over two places, and multiply. Example, if I wanted to know 75% of 50, I would multiply 50 by .75.
percentages are easy to calculate and easier to compare

percentage of rational numbers is calculated by multiplying by hundred.

when you want to reflect something as a percentage of something

say like finding the profit percentage

you divide the profit by 100

and the resultant rational number you multiply by hundred

profit%=(profit/cost price)*100
If using a calculator, input the number that you want the percentage of then multiply it by whatever percent you want then push the percent key. For example 20% of $80 = $16

You would input 80 x 20% and you get 16. You can also do it as 80 x .20=16. If you are not using a calculator you just move over to decimal places to the left for the number that is the percent. For example: 30%=.30 75%=.75 and so on.

I hope this is clear
how much divided by total. Multiply 100
