How you calculate the percentage needed on a Final to maintain an A?

How do you Calculate the percent needed on a final to get an A in class?

Say that i have a percent of X%26gt;90 in any class

the final is worth Y percent of my grade.

what do i need to score on the final in order to keep my A?

Honestly, my grade is 92% and the final is worth 8%

I calculate by using

92 x .92= 84.64

90-84.64= 5.36

5.36/.08= 67

is that correct? i need a 67 on my final to keep an A?How you calculate the percentage needed on a Final to maintain an A?
Yup, you're exactly right.

As of now, you have 84.64% of the total points possible, meaning you need 5.36% more of the total points to get 90% of the total points. The final is worth 8%, so you need: 5.36% / 8% = 67%
