How do you calculate theoretic yields and percentage yields?

Our chemistry teacher tried to teach us theoretic yields and percentage yields today, but it let me completely confused.

Could you please try to explain them to me?

So what would be the theoretic yield of calcium oxide from heating 25g of calcium carbonate?

And what would the percentage yield of 45.6g of copper sulfate crystals from a solution made my neutralizing 19.6g sulfuric acid with excess copper oxide?

Thanks, CazzieHow do you calculate theoretic yields and percentage yields?
theoretic is calculated base on stoicheiometry from the reaction equation and it is always 100%

Percentage is calculated base upon experimental data. How do you calculate theoretic yields and percentage yields?
I have no idea...sorry...but here is a great website from an MIT guy who explains in details tons of things about Chemistry, among other things through youtube videos...
