How do i calculate percentage growth?

ok, say a city was 37 percent asian in 1991 and is now 51 percent asian.....how do i calculate the percent in which the asian population grew between those years? i mean how can i get the number in which i can say "the asian population grew by "such and such" a percent between 1991 and 2007"How do i calculate percentage growth?
Its calculated as follows:



(51-37)/37*100 = 37.84%How do i calculate percentage growth?
51 divided by 37 is 1.378 (rounded off), so the asian population grew by 37.8 percent.
