How to calculate overall percentage for assignment?

i am on a computing course. currently there are two assignments for a module.

the total mark for each assignment is 100.

for the first assignment i got 63 out 100

the second assignment is not out yet.

i need overall mark of 40% to pass the module.

how do i work, what is my percentage rate so far%26gt; and

how do i work, how much more percentage do i need to pass the module?

or have i passed the module?

thanks.How to calculate overall percentage for assignment?
Well it also depends on whether or not (besides a 40% overall) you actually need to pass the individual components of the courseworkl (which would make sense in any decent course worth any real educatioinal value)...In which case you'd need at least 40% off the second submission...and going by the first you ought to achieve this...

But you should not look at trying to achieve a qualification or a course component as "what's the least I can get and pass" - this is a crummy attitude to studying and is the reason we have so mediocre, half-hearted, disatisfied workers in the UK!

Aim for the BEST you can do - NOT the LEAST you can do!

I HOPE that your course does require a pass level in each component - otherwise it's as good as rubbish...be fair...if you ONLY got 17% in the second test - i.e just enough to get an average of 40% overall (assuming both elements have equal weight) ...you can hardly really say you 'passed 'the course...as you will have DISMALLY failed a full half of the coursework!
out of 200 which is the score for both put together you have currently got 63 that you know of which is 31.5% so in the next assignment you will need to get only 17 marks out of 100 if I am understanding the question properly, hope this helps.How to calculate overall percentage for assignment?
Your current percent is 63/200 = 31.5% (0.315) so you have not passed yet.

To calculate what you need to pass solve: (63 + x)/200 %26gt;= 0.4

where x is your mark for the second assignment.

So if you get x %26gt;= 17 then you will have passed.
well if your first module was a 63/100 then you have at this point, a 63% overall. Assuming your next one is worth another 100 points, you would only need to score a 17 or higher to get a 40% (Being that 80/200 is 40 %)How to calculate overall percentage for assignment?
40% is passing? Wow.

your current percentage for the total assignment is 63/2 = 31.5 percent

to get to at least 40%

(63 + x)/2 = 40

63 +x = 80

x = 17 or 17 percent on 2nd assignment.
63/100*100%=63%

You are nearly passing the module.

40/100=80/200

80/200-63/200=17/200

Don't worry, you will only need 17 points more. (Never mind, I believe you will make it through).

Your percentage rate is 63/200=31.5%.
63/100 = 63%

if you get 0 for the second exam

(63 + 0)/(100+100) * 100/1 = 31.5%

40 = (63 + x)/(100+100) *100/1

63 + x = 40 * 200 / 100

x = 80 - 63

=17
What are the weightings of each of the assignments?
