What is the most accurate way for the average person to calculate there body fat percentage? Now i don't have access to water displacement but the online calculators don't seem the best way...or are they? I'm interested because i'm going into law enforcement and am curious just to see how i measure up because they do have body fat requirements. i think i'm like maybe 13% from what i calculated on some online calculatorWhat is the most accurate way for the average person to calculate there body fat percentage %?
You could Do your height and your weight . but that doesnt really do anything cause you could have alot of muscle and be short and it would make you seem really fat. get a clamper thinger.
Hydrostatic is by far the most accurate. You can get it done at most local gyms or health clubs. If you don't have access to that, the one we used in the army is the tape measure. It is based on 3 tapings for accuracy. On the male you will tape around your neck just below the adam's apple, and around your waist at the navel. As I said before, each taping is done 3 times and an average is taken, then height and weight are plugged in and voila. For females - tape around the neck at the cricoid notch, around the waist at the most narrow place and around the hips and buttocks at the most protruding part. Plug in the numbers there too. Have a friend do the tapings.

the most accurate is being submersed in water tank then compare water rise to your weight and so on not many people or services do this. but the most common and 98% accurate way is by using body fat calipers. bodybuilders and gyms use this they can be picked up at GNC for 25 $ with full instructions on how to use
I had a load of unwanted fat in all the embarrassing areas until I tried acai berry, I know they say that pills will not work, but they definitely worked for me, and they've been shown on CBS News too. There's a free trial on right now at http://rds.yahoo.com/**http%3a//besizd.myslimmingforyou.info , why not try it, what have you got to lose? What is the most accurate way for the average person to calculate there body fat percentage %?
DEXA scan is within 1%.

DEXA scan usually gives more accurate result than other methods because:

1) it measures internal fat

2) it measures bone density
Calipers are a good way to test your bodyfat there not 100% accurate but you can test your bf every 2-4 weeks with them and see if your losing bodyfat
Besides water displacement, you can by calipers and use them. They have online where you are suppose to measure.
