How to calculate the percentage increase?

A Californian couple's Anthem Blue Cross annual insurance bill will jump to $27,336 from $20,184 this year. How much is increased in premium? How to calculate the percentage increase?
The formula is difference divided by original. To get the difference between your two numbers you just have to subtract them. So the difference is $7,152. Now that number will be divided by the original amount which is $20, 184. The original amount is what amount or number you started with. So when you divide those two numbers ($7,152 / $20,184) you get 0.3543.......followed by a lot of decimal numbers. Take that number and multiply by 100 to change it to a percent and you get 35.43%.How to calculate the percentage increase?
increase is difference in values divided by original value and multiplied by 100 so

100 * ( 27,336 - 20,184 ) / 20,184 = 35,43%How to calculate the percentage increase?
27,336-20,184=7,152

7,152:20,184=0,35

so + 35%
