How do you calculate a percentage of error in data?

I know it has something to do with taking the smallest number of data and the biggest but im not sure exactlyHow do you calculate a percentage of error in data?
Ok so here's how it goes...

%error= absolute value of (result - accepted value) divided by accepted value

then multiply it by 100%

hope that helps!! good luck. How do you calculate a percentage of error in data?
take the absolute value of the experimental value - theoretical value divided by the theoretical and multiplying by 100!How do you calculate a percentage of error in data?
Difference in data/actual data*100

ie: i say there are 50 but there are 48:

50-48=2

2/48*100=100/24=4.17%

I say there are 99 but there are 100:

1/100=1%, I was 1 percent off of the actual data.
