Thank you to all the people who answered my last question^^How do you calculate the average annual compound percentage growth for an item over the period of 1973?
The answer is 7.293277%

2008 - 1973 = 35 years

[(2.35/0.20) - 1] = 10.75

get the 35th root of (1+ 10.75) = 1.0729 then deduct 1 = 0.729

then multiply by 100 = 7.29%

- - -

if you have a financial calculator this will be a lot easier. =)
