$ Removed New %

______________ = _________________

Entire Total of $ 100%

16.5How do i calculate percentage taken from income paid?
let:

c1 = percentage taken

c2 = percentage remaining

i = income (dolloars) paid

t = dollars taken out

c1 = 100 * t / i

c2 = 100 * (i - t) / i

looks right; notice that

c1 + c2 = 100.

The entire income is 100 pecent"

which is the sum of the "amount taken" and "the amount remaining"
take the bigger number, divided by the smaller number and mutiply it by 100 to get 16.5% so in this case there is 16.5% taxes taken off your chequeHow do i calculate percentage taken from income paid?
