Percentage Gains; how can I calculate percentage gains based on my initial investment?

For example: if I invest 1,000 and I gained 1,573 after a certain period, how can i calculate my gains in percentage?Percentage Gains; how can I calculate percentage gains based on my initial investment?
Your percentage gain is just the gain divided by the initial investment. Then multiply by 100 to get a percent.

So in your example, you gained 1,573 (a total of 2,573).

1,573 / 1000 * 100 = 157.3%

Your gain was 157.3%

Now be careful that you are looking at the actual gain. If you mean that your investment rose to 1,573, this is only a gain of 573. This would be 573 / 1000 * 100 = 57.3%.

Anyway, assuming you meant a gain of 1,573, the answer is 157.3% gain.Percentage Gains; how can I calculate percentage gains based on my initial investment?
You're welcome... so was it 157.3% or 57.3%?

hey

u first subtract ur investment from the current amount of money u have and then divide it by ur original investment times 100%

so 1573-1000= 573

so percentage gains in (573/1000)*100= 57.3%

gud luk
