How do you calculate your percentage weight loss?

We are having a contest at work and the prize goes to the one with the greatest percentage ,not lbs.How do you calculate your percentage weight loss?
number of lbs lost divided by your beginning weight.



ie. you lost 25 lbs but weighed 200 to start with. your weight loss is 12.5%

(mass loss / inital mass ) x 100How do you calculate your percentage weight loss?
The formula for calculating percent is: part/whole*100.

You weigh say 200 lbs you lose weight and are now 130 lbs you lost 70 lbs.



70/200*100= 35%
