How do i calculate the percentage of this table



1 - 5 out of 6 is the score

2. 4 out of 6

3. 6 out of 6



there are 3 groups .. the scores are out of 6 and 3 people got 4 , 5 and 6 respectively out of 6 .. how do i calculate the percentage of the entire group of 3?

Its a little confusing...



1) 5/6 = .8333= 83.33%

2)4/6= .6666= 66.66%

3) 6/6= 100%



Then there are 3 people in each group, or nine people all together?



If this is what you mean then 3/9 people got each score, and 3/9= 1/3

And what you want is a weighted mean.

So the entire group got (1/3)(5/6)+ (1/3)(4/6)+ (1/3)(6/6)

= .8333... or 83.33%
