How can you calculate moisture percentage of a sample?

calculate how many percentage of moisture are there in this corn grains... 56kg freshly harvested was sun dried after drying you've got now 46kg dried corn grains... just calculate the moisture content. How can you calculate moisture percentage of a sample?
Percent of water = (56 - 46) / 56 X 100

The percentage is the mass of the water that was removed divided by the original mass, and then multiply by 100 to express the fraction as a percentage. How can you calculate moisture percentage of a sample?
You assume only water is removed by drying the corn.

First, find how much water was lost due to drying:

56 kg - 46 kg = 10 kg (water lost)

Second find the percentage of the total weight of corn was water:

(10 kg water) / (56 kg total weight) * 100 (percent) = 17.9% water
