Then we did the actual experiment and i got different answers.
So for the percentage error, the instructions say to compare the difference between the 3rd enthalpy (its hess' law so its the combination of the 1st and 2nd equations) from the 1st and 2nd heat changes. and then divide by the 3rd.
But do i use any of the hypothesis' answers?How would i calculate the percentage error?
% error = observed(experimental) value - accepted value over the accepted value x100.
so
%error= (o-a)/a x100How would i calculate the percentage error?
%error = absvalue of accepted value - experimental value / accepted value x 100%
accepted-experimental/accepted. remember, there cannot be a -%error
