Like, what percentage of 6 is the number 3?
3/6 x 100 == 50%
====edit===
I think that you mean, find "percent increase"
New number minus old number, divided by old number and multiply by 100.
(1300-170)/(170) x 100% = (1130)/170 x 100% == 664.7%
Or, if you are really lazy, you could just use this:How do you calculate what percentage of a number another number is?
I think you may be asking how do you find the percentage of another number. If thats what your asking, you take the percent, like 30%, and move the decimal place over 2 places from in front of the 0. so it would be .30 Then you take that number and multiply it by the other number. Hope that helps :)How do you calculate what percentage of a number another number is?
Fractions.
ie. 30/40 = .75 = 75%
Your months quota is 10,000, and the yearly is 120,000 so you have 10,000/120,000 = .83 = 83%
well i think this is waht u mean, take this for example. if u want to know what percent 17 is of 83, then divide 17 by 83 and multiply it by 100 then bingo there u go
