Calculate the percentage of strontium carbonate, SrCO3, in the sample.?

A 0.6911 g sample of impure strontium carbonate, SrCO3, was decomposed with HCI; the resulting liberated carbon dioxide, CO2, was collected on calcium oxide and was found to weigh 0.1745 g. Calculate the percentage of SrCO3 in the sample.Calculate the percentage of strontium carbonate, SrCO3, in the sample.?
Molar mass CaCO3 = 100 g/mol

Moles CaCO3 = 0.1745 g / 100 = 0.001745 = moles SrCO3

molar mass SrCO3 =147.62

0.001745 x 147.62 =0.2576 g

0.2576 x 100 / 0.6911 = 37.27 % of SrCO3Calculate the percentage of strontium carbonate, SrCO3, in the sample.?
Why is CaCO3 a product of this reaction? Where did the HCl go?
