I always hear people saying for example "I have 15% fat and that much of lean muscles". How to calculate fat percentage in the body and lean muscle? You can have your body fat percentage tested at a gym or you can buy your own body fat callipers (Accu-Measure) and measure your own body fat percentage at home.
For a guy, here is a body fat percentage chart:
2%-4% Essential Body Fat
5%-9% Body Builders/Athletes
10%-20% Health
21%-24% Overfat
25% + Obese

It depends on your genetics. If you have an eating disorder, then try to just get to a good height/weight ratio. If you are trying to look more muscular, then you will want 4 to 6 percent body fat. Anywhere up to 16% is pretty healthy, usually. If you have obvious bulge in the waistline you will want to get rid of it, because it puts extra strain on the heart.
you can buy electronic scales which do all the calculating for you. you have to enter your age sex hight and some other things into there, then you stand on some metal pads (you dont feel nothink) and it takes your weight then your body fat count. some have other features too.How to calculate the percentage of fat in my body?
