47.32 is the deduction from the total.



How do i calculate what percentage 47.32 is out of 518.40?

These used to give me problems when I was your age. However, I came up with an easy way to remember how to do them.



Ask yourself



what % of 10 is 5? Since 5 is half of 10, I hope you can see that the answer is 50%. So how do we get that?



(5/10) * 100% = 50%



So

what % of A is B?



(B/A ) * 100



So

what % of 518.4 is 47.32?



(47.32 / 518.4) * 100 = 9.13 % to two decimal places

First, you would divide (47.32/518.40) with a calculator would be best ;). Then after you get the decimal, you multiply it by 100 and put the % after it. Then you are done.



47.32/518.40 = 0.0912808642
